This is the first musical film for me to be completely obsessed in, initiating a recent musical movement followed by Moulin Rouge, Dreamgirls, Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, La la land, and the Greatest Showman. While Catherine and Renée’s performance is absolutely incredible, Richard Gere is a bit behind the females, failing to entirely flatter the film by his song.
