It is a little difficult for me to review this movie (オデッセイ - what a poor choice of title) ... I give it 4 stars which means I liked it, but it left me kind of cold.
First - the second act was 30 minutes too long - too much Earth, not enough Mars.
Second - the balance between science and fiction was a little off.
Science part was really cool and realistic: "I'm gonna have to science the shit out of this"
Fiction part had too many "Armageddon" moments.
Third - many of the casting choices were questionable, with the exception of Matt Damon - he was great
Still, I liked "The Martian" better than "Interstellar". Go see it on the big screen.
