"Beauty and the Beast" was directed by Bill Condon and stars Emma Watson who plays Belle, who is a bright, beautiful, and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (played by Dan Stevens) when trying to help her father out of its castle. Despite her fears of that situation, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and falls for the beast as she gets closer to it, and vice versa. Meanwhile Gaston, a celebrated former soldier desiring for getting married to Belle, makes a deal with her father to help her out in order to win his favour to give her to Gaston in marriage...
This is a live action/CGI-animated film based on Disney's 1991 Beauty and the Beast that changed Academy Awards by being the first animated film nominee for Best Picture (lost to "the silence of the lambs" though).
Some of the songs are from 1991 Beauty and the Beast and some are new ones which are ,of course, really great to relax with and as sticky as the original songs such as Beauty and the Beast♩that gave me goosebumps when it played.
In terms of performances, I really got attracted by Emma Watson's singing really beautifully from the beginning of the film in which she shows up singing a song about being a funny girl to those who call her like that. I really couldn't sympathise with what the other people making fun of her say though, cos she is incredibly beautiful. I wonder who thinks she is an odd girl?? Anyway, as you may know, the plot is kind of similar to the animated one on the whole just cos it's based on that but every single character's performance in the live action version has the audience get into "the Beauty and the Beast world" in my opinion.
