Guy Ritchie infuses his stylistic endeavor that turns London's most renowned crime drama to a gratifying cinematic experience years ago to this Arthurian legend. Sounds like an odd marriage? Well you're not wrong. Ritchie's style simply overwhelms and overstay its welcome. It drops a giant boulder unto any bits of depth, edge and fun; Hammering down the bitter reality of what this retelling of "sword in the stone" could've have been. Adding more salt to an already painful wound, the film is at its best when its not focusing on the focal lore. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was bizarre and surreal for all the wrong reasons. This is one movie best watched with few boozes around. Why you may ask? Well, I am convinced that Ritchie is deeply intoxicated throughout the production of this film.
