A movie that exclusively relies on putting a buddy-cop/road trip episode starring Ryan Reynolds' and Samuel L. Jackson's amplified public persona as its forte. With its consistently infectious interplay and decently choreographed and edited action bits, The Hitman's Bodyguard, for the most part--when not sidetracked by its laughable villain's arc--delivers its promises. While no one will regard this film for a high art, it will surely bring a hell of a good time as you munch down your popcorn.
