Kinda disappointed with Kubo, it got off to a really good start and after the mid point I started looking at my watch ー 残念
The animation was beautiful BUT the character were pretty one note and the story was confusing -- I'm not sure I understood what the message was about.
And my other problem was the voice casting -- I found the voices of Charlize Theron and Matthew McConaughey quite distracting. Kubo was okay.
It's too dark for kids, it's not deep enough for adults...
Anyway, I felt bored towards the end and that's never good.
It is somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars ... I thing 日本人 will enjoy it. Go see it
