Painfully generic premise and underwhelming narrative bankrupt Sing. Albeit a competently made animated feature, the film manages to fall short with its constant lack of focus; Resulting in an animation that came off more like an amalgamation of different sorts of unrealized projects hidden under Illumination's attic. That being said, as far as entertainment goes, Sing's solid voice casts and colorful pop tunes salvage it from being total train-wreck.
