"Life" was directed by Daniel Espinosa and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays as an astronaut researching a soil sample that might contain evidence of extraterrestrial life with his crew. Received from the sample, a dormant cell quickly grows into a multi-felled organism that's later named "Calvin" by American school children. Calvin becomes dormant and immediately hostile and starts attacking the crew member after an atmospheric accident in the laboratory. Calvin gets itself grow bigger and bigger by attacking them to eat their internal organs, meanwhile the crew members have to prevent it from reaching the earth, which might cause the populace to be destroyed by it.
I finally got to see this film at the theatre today. Frankly speaking, this is much the same with Alien...the first 30minutes in which the crew member just have some conversations together with some space jargons was not so interesting that I was slightly worried about this film, however, after the hungry Calvin stars attacking the crew member and turns out to be more intelligent and powerful that they have imagined, the story gets really exciting and gross like in the scene where Calvin gets into a crew member's body from his mouth and munch his organs that causes him to bleed from his mouth a lot...oh gross.
If you have seen Alien franchise before, you could feel as if you were watching Alien again (Life is better than Alien 3 or 4 though). And I promise that you would laugh at the end.
