‘American Assassin’ was directed by Micheal Cuesta and stars Dylan O’Brien and Micheal Keaton. Rapp (played by Dylan) gets an offer from the CIA to complete a mission that involves the killing of terrorist that also killed his would be a wife on the beach. Seeking a revenge for them, Rapp is trained by a Cold War veteran and both must go on the mission to identify a man who has stolen a nuclear weapon and retrieve it in order to save the country and civilian with help from a lethal Turkish agent...
This movie has got mixed reviews. As people say, it’s kinda cliches and predictable with no twists or anything appalling. On the flip side, their performances are fantastic. Since I have no experiences of performing but obviously they did it really really well, which makes the film seem realistic and very much fun to see even though the plot couldn’t been better. I actually enjoyed the beginning more than the penultimate part cos it was quite enjoyable to see him doing some peculiar trainings along side some other people who also wanna work there. Although I already knew that he would definitely pass those tests or trainings, when he was like taking some tests, mostly holding a gun it was really exciting to see actually. You’ll know what I mean if you see this hopefully. And as the story reaches its climax, it gets more cliched and more predictable, nevertheless never got me bored luckily probably because of grotesqueness?? especially kinda hard to see Micheal Keaton being tortured...looks bloody painful. In other words, Batman gets tortured. Anyway, in conclusion, it was not as bad as some people say and could see the whole movie without getting bored or falling asleep. Hope you’ll like it.
