‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’ was directed by David Soren and voiced by Kevin Hurt and Ed Heims. This is about two elementary school pranksters who have been the best friends with one another and are really into creating their own comic books. Threatened to get seperate into different classrooms by their mean principle, the two kids intentionally hypnotise him into a ridiculously enthusiastic and incredibly stupid superhero called ‘Captain Underpants’ that tries to be like the same one having power to fly or do something imaginative in a comic book that they created but in reality... The two guys have to make him stop separating them and tubing their friendship as long as he is Captain Underpants.
I reckon that this movie is mostly for children and not for adults. I was actually not planning on seeing this movie, however since had nothing to do on the airplane, I saw this film but found myself a bit bored, though some jokes or pranks that these kids play on someone were hilarious and reminded me of my childhood at elementary school. Therefore, I recommend this film to no one but kids or those who have children to watch with.
When it comes to actors who provided their voices with this film, all of them were fantastic even though they are only actors. Especially, Kevin Hart was as hilarious as usual in live action movies. Actually I didn’t notice that one of the boys was voiced by him cos it was like Kevin Hart was totally able to be the boy with his pitched voice so that I felt nothing uncomfortable to hear his voice and so was Ed Heims. Although I suggested you shouldn’t see this film unless you have kids, it would be a good idea just to hear their voices provided for the rowdy boys if you are curious to know or are a fan of these actors. When it comes to the plot, it is very simple cos as I said, this movie was probably made for kids in particular so that there’s nothing confusing or twisted but just entertaining and enjoyable in some points. If you have time, try to see this film.
