Little Evil is essentially a spoof to the horror classic, The Omen. This Netflix's homage to creepy-child sub-genres, put in a comical spin to one of horror's most familiar trope. Parody in general is a two edged sword. It is a genre that without a proper balance and reasoning could devolve into a mere false flattery. Fortunately, Little Evil was able to dodge said bullet and become something more than a hollow tribute. Whether its hauntingly intense score or the obnoxiously loud jump scares, Little Evil cleverly populate its runtime with blatantly recognizable cliches. Making moments where patterns are being altered much more gratifying. Albeit its disappointing conclusion, Little Evil is one allegory for parenting that deserves a view.
