“Once upon a time in...Hollywood” - Movie Review ★4.2 / 5.0
[日本語] タランティーノの映画には絶対にある残酷なシーンはもちろんのことだが、フィクションと実話が混じり合うことにより実際はシリアスなトピックを扱ってるのにもかかわらず、コメディ感覚で見れる。最後のゴールデンエイジと言われる シネマ全体が現代に変わってくる動きの時代(1960年代)を、その時代に有名だった映画、俳優、 ましては殺人カルト集団とともに 感じさせている。さらに 黄色っぽいオレンジで色ずけされたセットやライトニング、頻繁にでるタバコなどが ノスタルジックな60年代のアメリカのムードをつくっている。
注目は、もちろんレオとブラピの演技。それはシネマに残るためいろいろな方法をさがすなかの複雑な感情を作品に届けている。
シャロンテイトを演じるマーゴットロビーも美しいスタイルで、シャロンのちょっとしたナルシストもしっかりといろいろな方法で表現されていた。歳をおいてきた俳優と人気の出ている女優のコントラストが全体的の時間の流れを表している。お酒で例えると 飲みやすいけど実際は濃い 梅酒。
P.S シャロンテイトの今後のことが書かれてなかったのはとても意外だった。知らなかったら Wikiにいこう！悲しくなります。
[ENG] The mixture of fictional and true story components totally helps to render the film itself more of like a comedy flick than drama taking up a serious matter despite quite a few violent scenes which are, of course, one of the most necessary mise-en-scene in Tarantino’s films. The film makes us feel what it’s like to be in the era when the whole of cinema starts to change into modernity; the last days of Golden Age in other words with plenty of references from the 1960’s films or actors and stuff, even the historically notorious cult group, Charles Manson Family. All of the set decorations coloured in yellowish orange, motifs basically cigarettes and multiple showings of classic film excerpts achieved to bring the nostalgic mood to the picture.
Furthermore, all of the cast performances, particularly of Leo and Bratt delivered various complicated feelings toward surviving in cinema, slowly getting washed up while Margot presented her perfect body style and face expressions as Sharon Tate filled with vanity.
Hence, the contrast between these two ageing guys and the newcomer subtly shows the time passing by. Highly recommended!
P.S it was very unexpected that Sharon Tate’s tragedy was not depicted at all. If you haven’t heard of it, go search it on Wiki. It’ll make you sad though. (I got a mini poster of the film at the cinema! its cool!
