‘Home Again’ was directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer and stars Reese Witherspoon as a mid-aged estranged woman who lives with her two daughters peacefully. However, when she meets three young filmmakers during her 40th birthday celebration at the bar and agrees to let those guys who need a place to live stay at her house temporality, some complications arise: an awkward relationship with one of those guys, her estranged husband coming home out of blue and so on...
This movie was kinda enjoyable in some points, on the flip side the story was very silly and unrealistic. That’s why it’s got some negative criticism from lots of people I guess. Reese Witherspoon really does fit in her character and each of those three guy have their own characteristics which sometimes lead them to be incompatible with one another so that I actually enjoyed this film much more than those who gave this movie severe reviews and stuff. And also this movie is really good to see when you are so tired and wanna do nothing but watch TV or movies and feel relaxed because the story is very simple and nothing complicated or puzzling, though the film is about a bit of complications among those people in her house but complications arise only in the film, not in our head while seeing it. So the point is, perhaps a majority of those who saw this film might agree with my saying, that this movie requires us to do nothing but just watch and enjoy unlike mystery or crime films, most of which have kind a complicated and twisted plots I guess. Despite its story which is about those guys struggling with something, I kinda felt comfortable in some ways while seeing this, not in a sarcastic way :-) Probably each actor or actress in this movie did such a great job and made this movie warm and sometimes hilarious in my opinion especially Reese Witherspoon, who was, not to mention, really good in this movie. I would recommend this film when you feel tired but like watching something fun.
