“Halloween (2018)”, the eleventh instalment of John Carpenter’s Halloween movie first released in 1978. The movie starts aged Jamie Lee Curtis who was a high school student in the first one and now grandma... and aged Nick Castle as Micheal Myers as always. Basically this movie is a direct sequel to the first one which came out 1978 where Michael disappears despite his wounds by Jamie Lee Curtis. 40 years after the traumatic event, Jamie has been prepping for Michael’s return for killing her. Very glad to see them reuniting in the movie where they are basically doing the same stuff as they did 40 years ago lol but quite fun to watch in a way. Although it’s got so many issues that keep me and my friend who saw together wondering and sometimes make fun of what they are doing which we found a bit stupid, it felt like as if we were watching the first one with high definition and some new technology, which was enjoyable. Also, was interesting to find some references from the previous Halloween movies like the toilet where an investigator gets stabbed by him or Jamie Curtis falling off the balcony and disappears as Micheal looks down there. I strongly encourage you to watch or rewatch at least the first one just for like brainstorming for this hilarious sequel and you’ll find it more enjoyable I guess.
