“Johnny English Strikes Again”, the 3rd instalment of the Johnny English franchise starring Rowan Atkinson as Johnny English, a British secret service, who, in this franchise tracks down the mastermind hacker.
Well, frankly speaking, it was not worth paying money to watch especially in Vmax (with a larger screen) which I did. Nevertheless, Rowan Atkinson’s performance was as always so hilarious that I laughed my ass off a few times while watching this movie but not as many times as I did in the first two films: Johnny English (2003) and Reborn (2011). The good thing about the movie is that we can genuinely get entertained with lots of mistakes that he makes throughout the story. Despite some predictions of how he is going to screw things up in a funny way, i couldn’t stop myself laughing. So however shallow the plot is, I enjoyed this movie without thinking of some issues of the movie. I reckon there’s only a few films that we could enjoy like that way nowadays maybe because I grew up with one of his best TV shows Mr Bean in my childhood. But if you are the person who really cares about stories and other things than him, you’d probably get disappointed with its story which was so plain that I would’ve left the cinema if it hadn’t been for Rowan Atkinson. Thank god he was not replaced with some other unknown comedians or actors. Well, it would be such a shame if this movie is gonna be the final of Johnny English but I felt how old he got from seeing his movements even with some humour so yeah time that he should take some rest I guess.
