I can imagine this being a pain to watch for a real time 地上波 watcher bc goddamn is there a lot of recaps but as someone who blasted through these episodes in 2 days, it was aight! apart from the first ep being like entirely recap with a sick post credits scene tacked at the end, I wasnt really bothered by the reintroductions of all the characters and the flashbacks bc i am so bad at remembering ppl that it's kinda nice having the show constantly remind me who they are lol
I've seen ppl say the 1a vs 1b fights were filler but idk I really dug that arc! I mean yeah I don't rly care about most of the 1b students and it's not a high stakes thing but I feel like I've really grown fond of a lot of the characters in this show throughout these 5 seasons. and I feel like these training fights are really neat cuz they show how much they've grown in terms of power and physicality and as people. I felt like everyone's teamwork and skills really shined and man I just rly root for all these lil heroes :') except for mineta fuck mineta all my homies hate mineta >:| but he has gotten better since now when he opens his mouth hole he only says something that sexualizes women maybe half the time instead of 100% of the time. which is still 50% more than what should be coming out of his trap but I digress. still def would welcome his death anytime tho
anyway I was rly happy my boy shinso was back for a little bit for this arc! and my chaotic 1b fav monoma neito lol I unironically love his character like he has 1 purpose in the show and he delivers the shit out of it every time. the mushroom girl growing mushrooms on ppls lungs was disturbing, like I could've gone my whole life without imagining that ever
also deku's gonna be so powerful now lol like damn bro's got 7 or 8 dawgs in him. like he's gonna get 6 new quirks on top of one for all? bro 💀 but also I'm in the middle of s6 right now and shigaraki is literally like what the fuck levels of overpowered right now lmao so I guess bro's gonna need all the power he can get to defeat this monstrosity lol
I kinda like that eri was gone for most of this season lol also mirio was quirkless and gone too like all that development in s4 and for what lol. urgh there's been this dog barking in one of the apartment units near mine and it's driving me nuts like bruh don't buy a dog that's gonna bark every goddamn second of the day. like shut the fuck uppp majide im feeing like bakugo rn (murderous) and might pull a shimura tenko (kill a dog) haha jk I'm just being miss joke a bit (joking) but yeah it's not the worst since the barking isn't that loud but I'm like jiro yknow (I have sensitive ears)
I really do wonder what random japanese filmarks users think if they ever have the misfortune of coming across my long ass rambly reviews, I prob seem insane 💀 oh well this is my notes app basically! anyway I really liked the internship arc! deku and kacchan and shoto are the ultimate power trio fr. big 3 who? no disrespect to my anxious pookie amajiki but I really can't imagine bro winning against any of these three lol. also I finally got to see the todofam drama!!! and different part but i love the scene where shoto takes everything so literally when mt lady tries to do interview practice with him, bro is me fr (autistic)
omg also hawks! he goes so hard in this season. double agent slay. sick character design. gorgeous voice. the rizz is unparalleled. sasuga gojo satoru
also the villains went so hard in this season. well I guess the re destro guy was mid but dayum shigaraki got some major development and I loved it! bro goes full eren yeager and then kaneki and now he's like ascended and op as fuck. how the hell is deku gonna defeat him 💀
anyway apart from the pacing issues, this season was great! damn I'm sleepy now. I bet I'll finish s6 tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and then I'll have to wait for s7 to air in real time which sucks but at least I'll be all caught up! yay!
