史実に基づいているのか、ウィキペディアに載っていることが真実なのか、定かではない。宮沢賢治は、本当にダメ男だったのかもわからない。当の本人とその家族しかわからない。
だけど一つだけ、確信を持って言えることは、宮沢賢治が命をかけて小説を書き続けたこと。享年37歳という若さでお亡くなりになった。多大なる作品が今でも誰かに読まれ継がれている。国語の教科書にも載り、誰しもが一作品は通ってきただろう。私もそのうちの一人だ。もう一度、宮沢賢治の小説をいちから読みたいと思います。
It is not certain whether it is based on historical fact or whether what is on Wikipedia is true. We don't even know if Kenji Miyazawa was really a bad man. Only he and his family know for sure.
But one thing we can say with certainty is that Kenji Miyazawa put his life on the line to continue writing novels. He died at the young age of 37. His many works are still being read and passed on by someone. His works have appeared in Japanese language textbooks and everyone has probably passed through one of his works. I am one of them. I would like to read Kenji Miyazawa's novels again from the very beginning.
