They’re loaded with prejudices,
not based upon anything in reality,
but based on “if something is new,
I reject it immediately,
“ because it’s frightening to me.”
偏見に縛られているのです。

新しいものは怖いから即拒絶するという反応です。
What they do instead
is just stay with the familiar.
慣れ親しんだものから離れようとしません。
