It was highly evaluated as the movie which portraits a darkness of modern American family. It mainly satires the American society at that time by spotting on the collapse of typical American families. Actually families in this movie had a beautiful appearance, but they are actually broken families and their family relationship is very bad. As the story goes, a trivial thing piles up, and their relationship goes worse. But, we could not see their situation only by looking them because they were trying to be look a nice family. In, my view, this situation happens to the real world even now. To be looking socially nice and beautiful, people cannot do what they want to do. like the movie Even there is no love in a family, they think they still need to pretend to be a nice family to be socially recognized. Family is people’s important home in the society, and it also can make you create your identity.
