I want to compare and contrast the characters Carol Aird and Therese Belivet.
They are the main character in this film and illustrated clearly contrast. There are a lot of differences between them. Therese is not opinionated, she can not make her decision herself and always answer yes for someone's ask. Therefore she accept Carol's suggestions. In contrast, Carol is opinionated person. She has her mind strongly and always act spontaneously. She Fight for her daughter and even rebel against her husband.
Abby only sees them objectively. She knows about Carol well and finds her commonality in Therese. Abby also have nearly relationship with Carol as Therese in the past. She really understand both of them so that's why she helped them.
Carol and Therese have similar emotion. That is loneliness. Carol has her daughter and husband but doesn't get along with. Therese has boyfriend(Richard) but she doesn't know her real feeling to him. They don't satisfied their situations. They were attracted to each other to fill the emptiness in their hearts.
Their love is hot and dramatic. So they were ruined and began to walk each other's way. Carol settled the struggle with her husband, and Therese broke up with Richard and started to work as a photographer. They began new life for themselves. Finally Carol and Therese decided to live together because they found the true love.
