ラッセルとグレンの日常を繊細かつ大胆に、そして美しく描いた作品。
週末だけ合うことから、基本的には週末の夕方から朝方までをシーンとしていて、観客はずっと二人の会話やセックスをビデオカメラで撮っているのを観ている感じ。そのせいか手ブレも多少あるし、盗撮しているようなシーンもある。
ニューヨーク・タイムズもこの作品に対して、”完璧なまでにリアル”と報じておる。たしかにリアルすぎるぐらいリアルだった。
The film is a subtle, bold and beautiful portrayal of Russell and Glenn's daily life.
Since they only get together on weekends, the scenes basically take place from evening to morning on weekends, and the audience feels like they are watching a video camera filming their conversations and sex the whole time. Because of this, there is a bit of camera shake and some scenes seem to be voyeuristic.
The New York Times also described the film as "perfectly realistic". It is true that it was too realistic.
