ナガオ

ラスト・カウントダウン/大統領の選択のナガオのレビュー・感想・評価

4.2
I’ve watched this film a few times over the past couple years, and felt compelled to view it again now given the situation in Eastern Europe. In context of this being a TV movie with a limited budget, this really delivers.

The majority of the key cast give us a glimpse of what a scenario of the unthinkable. I liked how the story was structured with various viewpoints of people of all “levels” of the military, and how each of their individual decisions all play a part in this conflict. The film gave me both hope in humanity and the good of people but fear as well; sometimes humanity and morality can’t prevent all bad things from happening, as is from the get go the premise of the film (the Soviet computers automatically initiating a responding assault) and addressed through other instances in latter scenes. And the reality is that not all men are up to the moral standard that we strive to be; when you think about this scenario shown in this film and place it in our current time, how may this play out? I pray to never know.
