Speechless.
I think this is the best movie I've watched in 2016 and it might be a masterpiece this year. This was directed by Mel Gibson(welcome back Gibson!) and his brand new war story. It's based on a true story that is about Desmond Doss who saved 75 American armies in Okinawa, Japan, during the most shocking and the bloodiest battle of WWⅡ, without carrying any weapons, never fired a bullet. It was too hard to see some of bloody scenes but it was such a touching and an amazing story, also unpretentious and much more realistic than the other his war movies. And Andrew Garfield gave a superb performance which couldn't be faulted. It was reminiscent of the movie "Nobi" which was filmed by Japanese film maker Shinya Tsukamoto. All what I want to say is... just watch this.
自分の中ではこれはアカデミー賞結構獲るんじゃないかと思う。本当にメル・ギブソンおかえりなさい。PatriotsもBrave Heartをも越える傑作です。どうしてこうも、メルギブソンの描く戦争ものは最高のものにしかならないのか。
ロケーションがオーストラリアじゃなくて本当に沖縄だったらもっと良かったなあ。
過去の経験とキリスト教の信仰に伴い、武器を一切持たないと誓い戦闘中は仲間を擁護するために全てを尽くしたアメリカ兵。アンドリューの迫真の演技には胸も心もぶちのめされました。主演男優賞ぜひとも獲って頂きたい。
塚本晋也の野火を彷彿させるリアルな描写、日本人としては少し複雑な面はあるけどこれは観るべき。
アメリカ兵にこんな心優しい青年がいて、日本兵はただただ殺戮兵器のように戦う姿があまりにも馬鹿馬鹿しく、羞恥に映った。あと日本人セコく描かれすぎ。笑
久々にギットギトの戦争映画観たし泣いた。かぴかぴ。観て良かった。
