Nonetheless, its utmost praise lies in the film's ability to traverse unto an emotional depth that is rarely depicted in war film of the past. Gibson wondrously established war as an antagonistic force against one's faith and believe; And using that premise to inspire audience. It is of course wonderfully realized by Garfield's career-defining-oscar-worthy performance.
