千夜一夜物語の設定とは異なる’92年『アラジン』の設定のうち、少なくとも以下の設定は本作に起因するそうです。
・魔法使いは悪宰相(原作ではただの老人)
・ランプの妖精に叶えてもらえる願いは3つまで(原作ではいくらでも願いを叶えてくれる)
・ランプの精は主人の願いを叶えることで自由を手にする。
・ヒロインの父親サルタンはおもちゃ好きで魔法使いに騙されている
