I think "Kimitati wa Douikiruka" is understandably controversial, because without knowing the original work, you can only understand the superficial storyline and cannot appreciate the true value of the work.
A wide range of people, from the elderly to late teens, came to see the film, but I thought it would be difficult for it to succeed at the box office because not many people could receive the entirety of the work.
I also understood that they chose not to advertise the film because it is difficult to convey this work in 30 seconds.
