It was horribly gorier than I expected.
I could keep watching it because I knew this has twist ending. But actually I sometimes wanted to turn away.
The screen was always dark, and the music which was played by low strings made it more scary.
Reading other watchers comments, I might have to watch it again to notice some foreshadowings here and there.
I could give it only 3.5 points because of disturbing stuff, but Leonardo dicaprio's performance was still great especially after reallizing "the fact".
I would say the trick was kind of simple, I couldn't notice it though.
