The film called "The Dark Knight" made me think about what real justice is. Why I felt this way is that three characters in the film Harvey Dent, Gordon, Batman each have different sense of values with justice. This is clear when Dent is talking to Gordon about bribery among the police in Gotham City, yet Gordon is not so interested. The justice Dent indicates that it is absurd for him to exist on the wrong side inside the police. On the other hand, for Gordon, justice is ignoring the bribery. Arresting the mafia in Gotham City is more important and thus, his justice shows us that police should fulfill big justice by arresting them. In addition, the justice of Batman is opposing criminals using violence as strength as shown, in the scene of trade of drug. As the film progressed, I realised the differences of their sense of value towards justice. I think they each have good rational reason for their stance. At the same time, I realised that justice can be changed depending on the sense of value each person believes. There are still many wars in the world and people each have different opinions such as religious value, and politics. For example,now, America is fighting a war against ISIS which is a terrorist organization so that is protecting American. In this case, people who are American think that what America is doing is justice.On the other hand, this is not justice for people of ISIS. What is justice for them is fighting bravely. Additionally, people who live near battlefields who are not concerned with the war, might think it is not justice. From the beginning is it "real justice" to kill people using military force? I think there is no answer about the definition of justice as each people have different sense of values.
