"Passengers" is directed by Morten Tyldum and stars Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, who are awakened 90 years too way early due to their ship's malfunctions on their journey through space to a new home. Even so, as they try to sort out what's become of the ship to either get back to their own hibernation pods or go back to the earth where they came from, they become close to each other and even fall in love. However, the reason why she was awakened that earlier is not because of the pod's malfunctions. What if she knows it...? On the other hand, realising that there is not only those malfunctions with their pods but is something big problems on that ship, they find themselves as the only ones who can save the lives of 5000 hibernating.
This is a super underrated science fiction adventure film but I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen because it was just amazing and don't know why lots of critics don't like this film. Is it just because mostly only two people (perhaps three if including the bartender) just have some conversations or pep talks? But I'm sure that lots of young people like me will probably like this kinda film. Although I'm sometimes black sheep, this is different. Thanks for reading my review. Arigato!
