The Fundamentals of Caring successfully provides an opportunity to think about "caring" to the audience.
It seems that "caring" has two different meanings, "caregiving" and "consideration"; in this movie, "caring" is depicted in both ways. I think for me, the lecturer in the opening scene teaches us about the former*, whereas Ben teaches us about the latter.
To talk about my experience, I have recently done community servicing at a day care center for the elderly, and this movie made me more or less think back of my attitude there. After listening to the lecture in the opening, I was completely convinced. Yet, at the same time, I asked myself "is it really?" and Ben proved that it isn't really so afterward. Although there is no proper balance of "caregiving" and "consideration", this movie made me reflect upon myself at the day care center.
Anyhow, if you have a Netflix account, it's definitely a must watch!
