“Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” the 3rd instalment of the Hotel Transylvania franchise which is my favourite. I really enjoyed the first two films directed by Genndy Tartakovsky who was also in charge of 3 luckily. Again, the movie is about a relationship between humans and monsters and humans try to eliminate monsters as always and it kinda sounds dull. However, compared with the first two, I kinda felt that this movie is like a spin-off coz of the unrelated content to the previous and what those monsters do in the movie was also quite different than what they used to do in those previous movies, though it was really interesting to see them dancing with some contemporary disco / club music playing in most of the scenes even its climax lol That kinda made me feel as if I were in a night club. So interestingly and uniquely the movie seems to have focused on not only these monsters or what they do but also the music always paying in the background on the ship. What I like about this franchise is that it doesn’t really try to be that hilarious, though there are of course some scenes that are intentionally made funny but most of the things are genuinely funny due to the use of social media or some new stuff. So I like the director’s idea of brilliantly utilising some things that we usually use in our daily lives for his movies even animated and even about monsters.
