•1984-85年に起きた”グリコ • 森永事件”を基に作られたストーリー。もちろんかなり脚色はされているが、それによって一見ミステリー風な物語を、事件に全く知らずに関与された当時の子供達の今の哀れな人生からなる完璧なドラマチックなものとなる。1つ1つの事件の詳細やキャラクターが鮮明に描かれていて、フィクションという雰囲気が全くもってしてこない。逆に実際のものを見ているような感じしかしなくて、とても発展がおもしろい。しかしたまに反復性が強いため、流れが遅くなるというのがちょっとした問題点。
•This film is loosely based on the Glico Morinaga case (1984-85) in Japan with some fictional tales developing the story of a journalist and a tailor who unknowingly got involved in the crime as a kid. With the extra fabricated stories, the film gravely turns a “Zodiac”-like story into an absolute drama depicting the miserable futures of each child who, with no understanding at all, provided their voices to facilitate the perfect crime. Every detail of the crime and characters are meticulously and almost perfectly written so that we can hardly draw a line between fiction and actuality that makes it extremely riveting. But the main issue is a bit of repetition that kinda slows down the pace of the entire film.
