Almodovar really depicts women so well that no matter how dramatic the plot is. Everything can still be very nature. and that women are never just a symbol or a object to be admired but a PERSON. The transitional justice theme blended well with the main story, felt the necessity of both in order to achieve what Almodovar are trying to convey. The sexual orientation issue is barely a problem, but rather come into the story as a way to deepen the connection so that the main character can be closer to her actually-not-hers child and also to the actual mother.
I won’t say it’s perfect but definitely a good film to watch. Glad that I went to the movie theater for this film.
