前半は見るに堪えない映像、特にトイレのシーン、が続いて目を頻繁にそらしていたが、執行猶予中に実家の一人部屋で苦しみながら幻覚をみるシーンから面白くなって引き込まれた。
映画のラストシーンでこれほど高揚することはなかったかもしれない。構成もイケてる。飲み掛けのウィスキーを空けて水を飲む描写でカタギの人生を歩もうとする決意を表現していたり、カバンを奪う瞬間に音楽のテンポが上がったり。最後の畳み掛ける独白の中でのi’m gonna be just like youという台詞があることで、エピローグが直接鑑賞者に向けた語りかけになっているのもすごい。
ロッカーからパスポートを持ち出してお金とともに新しい環境へ向けて決意を固めるわけだが、ロッカーが構図として引っかかっている。意図的としか思えない合わせ鏡の構図。今までの行いの反復を暗示しているのかな。深読みかも。
