オープニングの字幕で At 600km above planet Earth the temperature fluctuates between +258 and -148 degrees Fahrenheit. There is nothing to carry sound. No air pressure. No oxygen. Life in space is impossible. とテロップが流れる。いやいや知ってますわくらいにしか思わなかった。
物語が進むにつれ宇宙環境の過酷さをびしびしと感じる。何度もいくつもの危機が容赦なく降りかかる。だからこそ宇宙の美しさ、ちっぽけな人間が力強く生きるさまがより引き立つのかななどと思ったり。最後のlandingのシーンはめちゃめちゃ胸熱でした。ラストシーンのための Gravity である。タイトル Gravity としかつけようがない。なぜゼログラビティなどと…笑
