変わるモノと変わらないモノの話。
文盲のハンナが戦時中の盲目的にナチスを肯定していたドイツ国民の暗喩という解説を聞いて、戦後世代にとっての戦前・戦時の親世代への複雑な愛憎を表していたんだろうな、と。
時代や時間が経つことで法律や価値観、人の容姿や気持ち等、変わったり変わらなかったりする物事への切なさを感じる作品だった。
ケイト・ウィンスレットとブルーノ・ガンツは勿論、ダフィット・クロスも素晴らしかった。
Professor Rohl : Societies think they operate by something called morality, but they don't. They operate by something called law. 8000 people worked at Auschwitz. Precisely 19 have been convicted, and only 6 of murder. The question is never "Was it wrong", but "Was it legal". And not by our laws, no. By the laws at the time.
Professor Rohl : What? Narrow? Oh, yes, the law is narrow. On the other hand, I suspect people who kill other people tend to be aware that it's wrong.
