Saved by the excellent characterization and interplay between the iconic meta-humans, Justice League soars above its Snyderverse predecessors. Although, dull aesthetics, uninspired screenplay, laughable villain and video-game-esque CGI plaguing its runtime, are still the film's Kryptonites.
Though has its moments, Justice League is deeply flawed and fail to live up to its pantheon of iconic heroes. Fueled mostly with WB reactionary stance, DC's first team-up is victimized by the outings that preceded it. Further cannibalized by WB's incompetence and their decision to ignore multitude of steps when establishing the building blocks required to craft a cohesive shared universe.
Tonally and structurally a mess. Akin to the Frankenstein monster, Justice League evidently is a film that has been dismantled and put together over and over again by studio, to a point it being hardly recognizable. Though act as a form of course correction, road ahead is not exactly a blinding light of hope either. At this point DC has exhausted their iconic moments (Death of Superman, the League's first team-up) in less than impactful films, thus hurting its novelty for future audiences. If the rumors are true, a Flashpoint/Days of Future Past retcon is what this universe really needs.
