シリア内戦の取材中に亡くなるまで活躍した米国人戦場ジャーナリストMarie Colvinの半生を描いた作品。リビアやシリア内戦の描き方は西側寄りだが、戦場の報道一般のあり方を考えさせられる。Marieは普段関心のない人たちに関心を寄せてもらうために被害者一人一人のストーリーを大切にした。PTSDに苦しみ煙草と酒と愛人に依存する姿はとても人間的である。
