This was a very interesting film for me.
What drew me in was the concept of another world.. another life.. a new way to represent yourself..
But the story never went into the mechanics of that world or the people inside, it was solely based on a girl suffering through a loss and overcoming that.
This movie felt it could have been a 3 part mini series.
Apart from the somewhat odd structure I adored the visuals and the music was incredible.
And now the reason why, for me, this because such a high rated movie and will stick with me for a while..
The heart.
It became so uplifting and encouraging and heartfelt that I wanted to cry multiple times. You could feel the deep emotion in the characters and it really felt I was with her feeling those feelings too.
Maybe it’s because I’ve experienced loss.. it’s also probably due to who I am as a person, constantly struggling with self doubt and confidence.. this movie was very meaningful to me.
Studio Chizu has done it again by releasing another incredible piece of art.
