山中瑶子監督『ナミビアの砂漠』(2024)
新宿シネマカリテにて鑑賞。
誰もが主観を生きていて、微かな交わりを不意に探索している。ここから遠い土地にオアシスのような安らぎがある気がするーしかしそれはYouTubeの画面に映って眺めることが最大の現実であるような景色であり、ほんとうのほんとうのもがき(＝私)をみつ抜く先にしか着地できないが安穏ある。
男の(自己)解決欲や保護欲みたいなものが批判的かつシニカルにユーモアを込めて描かれているようで清々しくもあった。
わからないことがわからないままになる不安と、そのままで守っていたい拒絶、そして、どこかでわかり合いたい期待が交錯していたが、そのどれもが彼女の真実だったように思う。

Everyone lives their own subjective life, and they unexpectedly explore subtle connections. I feel like there is an oasis of comfort in a faraway land - but it is a view that is only realistic when viewed on a YouTube screen, and there is only peace of mind when you can see through the real struggle (= me).
It was refreshing to see a man's desire to solve things (for himself) and protect, portrayed critically and cynically with humor.
There was a mixture of anxiety about not understanding what is unknown, rejection of wanting to protect as it is, and hope for mutual understanding somewhere, but I think all of these were her truth.
