From the over-the-top action sequences to the infectiously over-the-top characters, The Golden Circle both reinforced and heightened what audiences love about the 2014's sleeper hit. If the first played like an unrestrained and unfiltered-lol-whateves tribute to gadget filled absurdity of the old Bond adventures; this second act played more in-line with a lazily written fan-fiction. The Golden Circle loss its focus early on and wandered aimlessly throughout its runtime without being able to find its way back. Watching this, you'd wish the hilariously funny anal sex joke at the end of the first film remained as a joke.
