映画で、映像と同じく重要な要素である音楽。
それを作りあげる歴代の職人達が、マニアック過ぎる。こんなにこだわりが深い世界だと知らなかった。凄く面白かった。
音響デザイナー、ミックスダウン技術者の中には、女性もいて細やかな音のミキシング、チューニング作業を何ヶ月も掛けて作っていると知れた。
彼らは、この仕事に誇りを持っているし、
凄く映画音響の世界を愛している。
モノからステレオになり、サラウンドになって、観客が包み込まれるような感覚になる技術の進歩と、さらに多重化される作業。ほんと時間と手間のかかる裏方仕事。
見えない場所での苦労に、頭が下がる。
音を創るのも大変だけど、ロケ地の雑音を消す作業も難作業らしく、消したり混ぜたり試行錯誤の連続。
予算カットからリストラされそうになったスタッフもいたり、より高品質を追及しのめり込み過ぎて鬱病手前になった人もいたようだ。どの世界にも苦労と困難がある。
この映画を見なかったら、知らないままだった。
しかし、予想を超えるサウンドが完成した時の喜び。音がセリフの無い箇所の心情を補い、観る人の感動を呼び起こす映画音楽。さらなる進化を、期待したい。

I admire their hardships in the invisible place.

It seems that some staff members were about to be restructured due to budget cuts, and others were so absorbed in pursuing higher quality that they were on the verge of depression. There are hardships and difficulties in every world.
If I didn't watch this movie, I wouldn't know.
However, the joy when the sound that exceeded expectations was completed. Film music that supplements the emotions of places where there are no lines and evokes the impression of the viewer. I would like to expect further evolution.
