Hmmmmmm
I may have been too excited about this
I went to the theater cause it was finally released in Australia without any knowledge like they did in Japan
And for the whole time, I was thinking like “okay, we will get to know the meaning of this and that, and all of these will connect in the end” and trying to understand so hard then the movie just finished and I was like HUH!?
I understand that he did his homage himself from prev works so it was cool, and voice actors did a good job! やっぱりキムタクハウル〜てなってよかったし菅田将暉は菅田将暉に聞こえなくてすごかった！and surprisingly Robert Pattinson did a similar voice for Eng version!
Because the poster has a boy and Heron and the Eng title is that, so thought it was gonna be a good friendship story of them, but Heron is ugly and annoying
インコまじで怖くてそこすごい良かった！
And how the boy became friends with his own mum in her young age, and tried to get along with his step mum!
But I wanted it to be more focused on the story and what the message was in the book 君たちはどう生きるのか
And I wanted to see the actual growth of the boy after the adventure
Maybe that is too obvious and does not let audience imagine after the movie, but Spirited Away had good meanings behind the scenes and characters which are not too obvious.
Does 宮崎駿 want us to understand everything…?
Like what was the grave stone and why was the birds evil, and what was the wooden toys and and and
Anyways, I’m glad that he took his word back again and is not retiring lol
