‘Get Out’ was a true thriller however, I wouldn’t class it as a horror. For this to be the first film by its director is amazing. He doesn’t rely upon classic film tropes and cliches to scare the audience. He builds tension in the most subtle ways, with moments such as the caretaker running straight towards the camera and lead character, the change of pace in this scene, simply and effectively creeps you out and raises your heart rate.
This film is a go to around Halloween time, I truly enjoy it with every watch!
