A documentary-style film about mother Lucy Cohen and her seven children with their experience with grief with their father’s suicide. I do enjoy documentary-style films, particularly on murder mystery, however, I thought I would watch something that is a little closer to reality.

I do think there were moments that perhaps were dramatized, but this was only in a few areas where I perhaps noticed this. The family is incredibly brave not just to have their story told, but to star and be interviewed through their struggles. I loved the differences in camera use, they used an equal balance of Steadicam and handheld camera work. I enjoyed this, the shaky footage from the handheld I thought was reflective of not just any normal family, in which it is, but also the father's mental state.

I very much enjoyed the film, it was an emotional rollercoaster. I loved that the mother didn’t sugar coat the reality of what their father was going through. She encourages them to remind him for all the happy memories, which is a beautiful way to look at issues like this.
