あらゆるアメリカのコメディ映画に言えることかもしれないが、英語音声、英語字幕がおすすめ。なぜなら、もしそうでないと、キーワードのZingとかカジモドのフレンチアクセントとか、色々なネタを取りこぼすことになるから。逆の意味で、もちろんこの映画は日本語吹き替え声優としての山寺さんも素晴らしいわけだから、それはそれでまた別の映画として観れるのかもしれないけど。
すごく好きな映画。ホラーファンやナードやヒップホッパーにはたまらないと思う。というか、こういうクラシックモンスターがたくさん出てくる映画は基本的に外れない。
なぜこういう良作が日本では全然有名にならないのかよくわからない。いたるところに敷き詰められた小さいジョークにケラケラ笑ってしまった。脚本の細かい強引さには目をつぶってとにかくニヤニヤしたりgross!とか叫びながら観ると最高に楽しいと思う。
テーブルに乗ってチェイスをするシーンも映画的だし、その中で楽しさとは何かに気づくという意味もあって無駄がない。ラストのラップも上手な伏線回収だったし、その中でドラキュラの特技がすべて有意味な活かされ方をしているのもクリエイターの才の非凡さを思わされた。歌詞も極めて秀逸。
そしてなによりヒロインの愛らしさである。自分のドレスを作る際に小さくなるために一瞬コウモリに変身したりするのがとてもよい。
