"To Live [Digitally Remastered]" (1994) directed by Zhang Yimou
Family love that lives on in the current trends -
It was truly good. The "family" Zhang Yimou depicts is so ordinary, yet so poetic. Guo You and the children are both fantastic. It really makes you feel like you're human beings as living beings.
The plot of a parent and child whose destinies are torn apart on the brink of establishing socialism doesn't simply portray family as a personal, closed entity; it feels like a powerful thesis being presented. It was truly good.
