I heard nothing but terrible things about this film but to make sure how terrible and disappointing to those people who saw this film, I thought I gotta go to see it. There was nobody in the theatre room that was showing the snowman but myself. Although I have seen a couple of films in the cinema with like one or two people, I had never experienced to be all alone at the cinema, occupying the room. I could stretch my feet and it was like I was watching a movie at home on the little bit bigger screen. The snowman was for nearly 2-hour crime film, though sounded like a horror film a bit to me. It was completely a sham that never excited me. The first 30 mins to 1 hour was okay and I was wondering what was going to happen next and what the Snowman’s next move would be, but the story hardly went on. It was just making me feel really bored even though the snowman continuously kills women who have children and some problems behind. It was like everything was repeating for the entire 2 hours. However, the cinematography was really beautiful and also each performance was up to sniff I think. And the idea of how the snowman kills people and leaves bodies behind was also the thing I kind of liked so the film could have been much better if the story had proceeded more smoothly and the case had expanded in a different way, not only just killing people but like more different things that would make those detectives hang up on thinking of. As lots of people who saw the movie mentioned, it was so slow that you might feel like leaving the cinema in the middle of the movie or might fall asleep. Though I was completely awake and not sleepy at all, but it could have made me fall asleep if it had not been for the beautiful cinematography that was only thing I enjoyed actually. Well, whether you love crime movies or not, you will probably find this film really dull so recommend waiting till the movie is released in DVD or Blu ray to you all. One thing I almost forgot telling you was it was pretty gross actually, you will see a lot of crushed faces and destroyed bodies of missing people so recommend not watching this if you are intolerant of that sort of bloody stuff. Thank you for reading my brief review of “The Snowman”!!
